Fact of the day!
Did you know that A bolt of lightning is six times hotter than the sun.
1) In 1980, Terry Fox began the Marathon of Hope, a cross-country run to raise money for cancer research. This week is Royal Oak's Terry Fox Run Week! All students will be participating in a run during PE to commemorate, fund raise, and continue Terry's legacy. Students are encouraged to bring a t0onie or larger donation to their PE run day this week. Prizes will be handed out to the PE rotations that raise the most $ for cancer research, and that wear the most red and white on run day. Our goal is to raise $1200. You can do it ROMS!

6) Gym strip! Have you taken your gym strip home for a washing lately? If not it is time to take care of that requirement.
7) Recycling. You are doing a great job with reducing the amount of garbage we produce every day. Did you know that the Saanich school district has reduced the amount of garbage that goes into our land fill by 50% over the last 10 years? Well done recyclers!
