Breakfast Club: Thursday morning is our first breakfast club of the year. Come to room 215 from 8-8:40 to meet new friends and have a healthy start to your day!

Lockdown Drill: A reminder to students and staff that we are having a lock down drill today at 11:10 am. It is very important that we take all drills seriously. Teachers are asked to review the procedures with students for today's drill. The Saanich Police will be here to observe our lock down drill and procedures.

Canteen today: Popcorn on sale today at first recess. Popcorn $1.00.

Photo Day: A reminder to students and staff that it is photo day tomorrow, wear your best smile!!


Girls Grade 6/7 Soccer:
Grade 6/7 Girls Soccer there will be a quick meeting in Miss Mah's classroom 121, today at first recess, to distribute player packages.

Girls Grade 7/8 Soccer:
There will be a soccer practice today after school for all grade 7/8 girl soccer players. Please be ready to go right after school and meet Ms. McManus outside the Gym Hallway doors. If you cannot make the practice please see Mr. Menzies today.

Boys Grade 6/7 Soccer:
Attention all boys playing in the 6/7 soccer team this year. Your first practice is tomorrow morning at 8:00am. All players are expected to attend. Please meet Mr. Menzies outside the Gym hallway doors ready to play with your cleats and shin pads on. Thats 6/7 boys soccer practice TOMORROW morning!

Grade 8 Athletic Leadership:
Reminder to all athletic leaders to please ensure your forms and documents are in to Mr. Menzies. The next meeting will be this Friday starting at the beginning second recess in the gym.

ROMS PE Strip: Reminder to all students and staff that all orders for Eagles Athletics PE strip t-shirts, long sleeves, and shorts are dew by the end of this Friday September 23rd. Please come to the PE office to try on sizes and see samples.

Earthquake Kits:
Reminder to both Students and Staff, to bring in your Earthquake Comfort survival kits.  In the event of an earthquake, we want to be prepared. 

Notice to all bus students – Skateboard and Scooters are not permitted on the buses this year due to safety reasons.

Parents & PAC Royal Oak Review @ noon:

Emergency Preparedness Drills: For emergency preparedness with our students and staff - we conduct six fire drills, two earthquake drills and one lock down drill every school year.  This week we will be conducting a lock down drill - please review with your child the need for the school to practice this very unlikely event. 

Please complete information forms package and return them to Homeroom teacher asap.

Home work Club. Extra support will be available to students on the following days:

Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays from 8:00-9:00 am in Room 215 and

Tuesdays & Thursdays from 3:08-4:08 pm in Room 215

Please ask your teacher for details!

Art Donations: ROMS parents: Please consider donating your fashion, food, sports and other magazines to the art room. We can also use various sizes of plastic containers including 500ml up to ice cream buckets. If there are any parents that would like to volunteer in the Art room, please contact D. Kardash at dkardash@sd63.bc.ca.  

We would like to invite the whole community (parents and students) to our welcome back BBQ! 

When: Wednesday, Sept 28 from 4-7. 
4:00 pm-6:00 pm BBQ -$5 for a burgers or veggie burger, drink and chips. We will also have a yummy sweets.. 
6:00-7:00: Open House in the School Meet your child's teacher/s 
6:30-7:00: New parent orientation in the MPR. This session is important to attend if you are a new parent to the school.

PAC Review:

Please mark your calendar for our next
PAC Meeting On Thursday, October 20th. It is great to have the support of so many ROMS parents.
