ROMS TV News Volunteers:
If you are interested in being part of the team that produces ROMS TV News, either as an announcer or a technician, please come to the Learning Commons for a meeting, today during the Lunch Recess.

Pizza Day Today – $2.50 per slice - This year we are doing something a little different – Classes will be called down by hallway, this includes all grades from your hallway. Today, classes will be called in the following order: Raven Hallway (Div 8-1 is now part of Raven), and then Thunderbird Hallway, and then Wolf Hallway and then Orca Hallway.
Grade 8 Rowers: Reminder to all grade 8 rowers to meet in the green computer lab today at advisory. All rower must attend.
Grade 8 Athletic Leadership: There will be a meeting for all students in Athletic Leadership today at SECOND recess in the gym Please be there on time and help remind your fellow leaders! That Athletic leadership meeting today, SECOND recess in the gym.
Grade 8 Boys Soccer: Notice to all grade 8 boys interested in playing soccer for Royal Oak - your first practice is Monday morning at 7:30. See Mr. Stanchfield if you have any questions.
Cross Country Team: Any students interested in running with the ROMS cross-country team are asked to attend an information meeting on Monday at morning recess in Room 130.
Eagles Athletics PE Strip is now for sale!! This is you chance to pick up Royal Oak Eagles t-shirts, shorts, and long sleeve warm up shirts to wear in PE and for other activities. Swing by the PE office to try on sizes and see samples. Order forms are available on the ROMS athletics web page and outside the PE office, and are due by next Friday September 23rd handed in to Mr. Menzies in the PE office.

Reminder to both Students and Staff, to bring in your Earthquake Comfort survival kits. In the event of an earthquake, we want to be prepared.
Notice to all bus students – Skateboard and Scooters are not permitted on the buses this year due to safety reasons.

Art Donations: ROMS parents: Please consider donating your fashion, food, sports and other magazines to the art room. We can also use various sizes of plastic containers including 500ml up to ice cream buckets. If there are any parents that would like to volunteer in the Art room, please contact D. Kardash at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We encourage drop off and pick up of students on Greenlea – It is safer for the students and less congested in the parking lot.
Parents picking up students – We ask that you do not wait outside classrooms. Please wait outside front entrance of the school or inside the main lobby if the weather is unfavorable. At middle school we encourage independence. There are 643 students and the hallways are very congested.
Please, do not park in the bus lane – the buses need to be able to pick up students safely.
Consider the Environment - We encourage your child to walk, bike or ride the bus to school. Parking Lot Congestion – Go Green!!!!!
