Home Work Club: Home work club begins today. Meet in Room 215 at 3:08 pm for fun support with home work.


Extreme Team: There will be a meeting of Extreme Team members in Room 227 at 1:16 during Lunch Recess today.


Vocal Ensemble: Anyone who is interested in joining Vocal Ensemble needs to attend a very important meeting on Wednesday during Activity time in the Band Room. Please see Mrs. G if you have any questions.


Reminder to both Students and Staff, to bring in your
Earthquake Comfort survival kits.  In the event of an earthquake, we want to be prepared. 


Early Entry: Thursday morning.  Reminder that Thursday is meeting day for the staff.  There is no early entry for students to come in, with the exception of sports teams.  Students are expected to wait outside until the bell. 


ROMS SPORTS


Athletic Leadership: Attention all Students who applied to Athletic Leadership for this school year. The first meeting of the year is today at FIRST recess in gym with Mr. Menzies. All applicants must attend.


Girls Soccer: There will be a mandatory meeting for all girls interested in playing soccer for Royal Oak today at SECOND recess in the gym to discuss the upcoming season. Please be there on time and help remind your fiends. That Girls Soccer meeting, in the gym, at second recess, today!


Rowing: There will be a rowing meeting tomorrow (Wednesday) at 1:16 pm in Mr. Large's room 122


A reminder to all parents – A current Criminal Record Check is required when volunteering to drive or supervise students for field trips. Please pick up forms from the office.

Notice to all bus students – Skateboard and Scooters are not permitted on the buses this year due to safety reasons.


Parents & PAC Royal Oak Review @ noon:


Home work club begins on Tuesday. Extra support will be available to students on the following days:

Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays from 8:00-9:00 am in Room 215 and

Tuesdays & Thursdays from 3:08-4:08 pm in Room 215

Please ask your teacher for details!


Art Donations: ROMS parents: Please consider donating your fashion, food, sports and other magazines to the art room. We can also use various sizes of plastic containers including 500ml up to ice cream buckets. If there are any parents that would like to volunteer in the Art room, please contact D. Kardash at dkardash@sd63.bc.ca.  


We encourage drop off and pick up of students on Greenlea – It is safer for the students and less congested in the parking lot.


Parents picking up students – We ask that you do not wait outside classrooms. Please wait outside front entrance of the school or inside the main lobby if the weather is unfavourable. At middle school we encourage independence. There are 643 students and the hallways are very congested.


Please, do not park in the bus lane – the buses need to be able to pick up students safely.


Consider the Environment - We encourage your child to walk, bike or ride the bus to school. Parking Lot Congestion – Go Green!!!!!


Please complete information forms package and return them to Homeroom teacher asap.

PAC Meeting Thursday, September 15th @ 7:00 pm in the Learning Commons. Everyone Welcome!


Our 1st General PAC Meeting is coming up this  Thursday, September 15th at 7pm. Come join us in the learning commons and meet Principal Carly Hunter and Vice Principal Ken Bergeron who will discuss upcoming events at ROMS.  Stay informed, meet other parents and PAC Executives and learn about your school community.
