Thank you to all students and staff for helping make our 150th Anniversary celebrations a huge success, your Showcase displays were admired and appreciated by many. Well done Royal Oak!!
Grade 8's: A reminder that all Grade 8's are scheduled to go to Claremont today for the musical performance. Buses leave at 12:15 sharp. Student's will need to eat in their block 3 class.
Rugby: Special shout out to the grade 8 boys Eagles rugby team for their quality play and sportsmanship in winning the city championship on Friday. Congratulations on an amazing season.
Field Hockey: All field hockey players are reminded of their Mandatory meeting on Wednesday during First Recess in the Learning Commons.
Track & Field: This week's track and field practice schedule has now been posted around the school and on the ROMS athletics webpage. Have a look to see when the next practice is. Also, there will be a final meeting for all track and field member in the gym today at SECOND recess to discuss today's meet at UVIC. All students planning on participating must attend. See you there!

Band Sectionals: All grade 6 flute players have sectionals on Tuesday, May 17 during lunch activity in the band room.
Performance Opportunity: There will be an open stage in the MPR on the night of the ROMS year end band concert on May 25. Any students interested in performing as a solo or small group act please see Mr. Bridgman by Thursday, May 19. Performances should be well prepared and could include a variety of performing arts such as musical, dramatic or dance performances.

Parent Helpers: A huge thank you to all parents who volunteered their time to help make our 150th Anniversary celebrations a huge success. Your hard work and dedication is very appreciated. We couldn't have done this without you!!!
PAC AGM: The AGM/last PAC meeting of the year is next Wednesday, May 18th. All parents are welcome to attend. The meeting starts at 7 pm and is held in the Learning Commons at Royal Oak.
Compost Sales: Organic compost soil sales: $10 per bag or 3 bags for $25. Pick up on school days from 2:50-3:25 pm
Smile Cards: Please use your Thrifty Foods Smile Cards when you buy their groceries. Our
PAC receives 5% (yes, 5c for every dollar you spend! ) on all purchases
that families make, using their Thrifty's Smile Cards. The program wraps
up for the school year in June, so we have less than 2 months left. If you
don't have a card, but would like one, please email
