Congratulations to the grade 7 band for an excellent performance at the Vancouver Island Concert Band Festival in Port Alberni yesterday!

Dance Club: 
Dancers performing in concert on Mon night must come to a rehearsal at 116 today

Word of The Day Winners:
   Division 8-5  (Go first for pizza)

Grounds Clean-up Winners: Wolf Hallway - Mr. Large Division 6-4  (Go second for pizza)

Pizza Day – Classes will be called in the following order:        (Go after Div 8-5 & 6-4) Blue Floor, Green Floor and Grade 8           
            Helpers:  Clay Club with Ms Kardash

Rugby:  All grade 6 and 7 boys rugby players must sign up today for the jamboree on Wednesday or you will not be able to attend.

Field Hockey:  Congratulations to the ROMS field hockey team on their 2 wins yesterday!  Special shout out to Jessica Jay for her great goalie play.  Please remember our mandatory meeting on Wednesday in the Learning Commons during First RECESS.

Track & Field: 
Congratulations to the Royal Oak Track and Field Team on an excellent performance at this season's first meet at UVIC. The eagles took flight early and never looked back placing first in several events. Great job track and field athletes! Next week's track and field schedule is now posted on the ROMS Athletics webpage and around the school. Please have a look to see when practice for your events is taking place.

Choir:  There will be a choir rehearsal today during lunch activity in the band room.  All students wanting to perform at the year end band concert should attend.
Be The Change:  Be the Change in the world - A loose change fundraiser to help build a school overseas. Bring in your loose change (bill accepted too) and put it in the house bank in your class. The class with the most money on as of Friday, May 13th will get to go first for Pizza day!

Class placement Interviews:  We are now fully booked for appointments.  We ask that if you are concerned about placement for next year that you have a discussion with your child's current teacher.
