Morning Radio News @ 9:05 am

Today we welcome Grade 5 students from Cordova Bay School and other students from out of district schools who are here at Royal Oak for a school tour today and will be attending ROMS in September 2016.

Gr 7 Band:  The Grade 7 band will be attending the Vancouver Island Concert Band Festival in Port Alberni on Thursday, May 5.  All students attending should meet in the band room at the beginning of block 1.

Science Challengers  Meet today at lunch recess

Miss Fuller's Block 3 PE Class:
  Please go directly to Room 122 on the GREEN Floor.  Do not get changed.

Drama:
  Miss Savage's block 2 drama class meets in her classroom today room  223

Drawing & Cartooning Group:  Meets today in Ms. Savage's Room 223 at lunch activity time.  Please bring your pencil case, coloured pencils, scissors, sharpies and glue.  Please let Ms. Savage or Ms. Spencer know if you are unable to come.

Pizza Day tomorrow - $2.50 per slice

Canteen today:  Cookies 75 cents, smoothies  50 cents, chicken nuggets $2.00


ROMS SPORTS


Rugby:  Reminder to the grade 8 Eagles rugby team of their meeting in Mr. Stanchfield's room at recess today.

Track & Field:  There is a mandatory meeting today during second recess in the gym for all students participating at the Track Meet this afternoon.  All track athletes must be prepared to let Mr. Menzies know their transportation arrangements to UVIC.  Remember, if you are getting a ride with a friend's parent, that person needs to have all drivers forms completed and handed in to Mr Menzies.

Choir:  There will be a choir rehearsal on Friday, May 6 during lunch activity in the band room.  All students wanting to perform at the year end band concert should attend.

Be The Change:  Be the Change in the world - A loose change fundraiser to help build a school overseas. Bring in your loose change (bill accepted too) and put it in the house bank in your class. The class with the most money on as of Friday, May 13th will get to go first for Pizza day!

Class placement Interviews:  We are now fully booked for appointments.  We ask that if you are concerned about placement for next year that you have a discussion with your child's current teacher.
