Drama Class:  Ms savages drama class meets in her classroom 223 today

Learning Commons:  The Learning Commons will be closed at lunch recess today to set up for an event.  If you have urgent homework to do on the computers, they will be available.  

Yearbook:  All Yearbook pre-orders are due TODAY!  Please obtain an order form from Miss Cottier's classroom or homework website.

Pizza Day – Classes will be called in the following order:     Gr 8, then Blue Floor, then Green Floor                                    Helpers: Extreme Team with Mr. Mollard

The clean grounds inspection happened yesterday.  This week the cleanest grounds section goes to the “Wolf” hallway.  The class with the clean-up bucket, Mr. Large's Div 6-4, will go SECOND for pizza today.


ROMS SPORTS


Congratulations to the Royal Oak badminton team on a great week of competition! Badminton players form grades 6,7 and 8 competed in the city play-offs this week and played some very exciting matches. Good luck to those players who made it through to the city Finals next Monday!

Intra Murals:  Reminder to 8-1, 8-2, 8-3 and Staff of the intra-mural dodge ball championship at lunch. The Championship belt is on the line.

Field Hockey:  Congratulations to the ROMS field hockey team on their tie games yesterday at UVic.  Special shout out to Brooklyn Ryan for being in goal.  

Track & Field:  Attention all students interested in signing up for track and field. Today ate morning/FIRST recess there is a mandatory meeting for all track and field members in the gym. Anyone interested in competing for Royal Oak at next week's track meet must attend. That's mandatory track and field meeting, FIRST recess in the gym today.

All jazz band students attending the band trip to Sidney on May 2nd please return your permission slips to Mr. Bridgman ASAP.
All Yearbook pre-orders are due TODAY!!  Please obtain an order form from Miss Cottier's classroom or homework website.  Pre-Order guarantees delivery of a one of a kind yearbook directly to your homeroom on Monday June 27th.  Only a few additional copies will be available for sale on Tuesday June 28th.  Yearbooks are $35

Parents & PAC Royal Oak Review @ noon:

Class placement Interviews:  A limited number of appointments have been made available for 2016-17 Class Placement.  Please email royaloak_mid@sd63.bc.ca if you require an appointment.  Appointments are May 10-12.

Used Clothing Sale:  For families with younger children there will be a Children's Used Clothing Loonie and Toonie Sale at Lochside Elementary today (Friday April 29th from 3-5pm) and Saturday April 30th from 9:00am to noon in the school gym.  The school is located at 1145 Royal Oak Drive.

PAC is looking for a volunteer or two to assist with running a fundraiser in the fall for SPC cards. This is an easy fundraiser as a number of students use the SPC card for discounts at stores they already shop at. If you are interested in organizing this fundraiser, email romspacpresident@gmail.com.
