Vow of Silence
:  Today, lots of students and staff at Royal Oak have taken the pledge to remain silent all day to bring awareness to those who do not have a voice in the world. Please respect your fellow students and teachers. Today is a day to appreciate all that you are able to have - access to an education, ability to live in a safe society, democracy, and food and clothing. Thank you.

Drama Class:  Ms. Savage's block 1 drama class will meet in her classroom 223 today.

Welcome Pole:
  Today we welcome Doug LaFortune a talented First Nations artist to our school. Doug will be demonstrating the carving of a welcome pole for our school. What animal do you think our school's welcome pole will be?  Teachers:  Please follow the schedule that was sent out to you  for your time to attend this event.

Word of the Week Winners:  Division M3

Pizza Day – Classes will be called in the following order:  Green floor, Grade 8 and  then Blue Floor                        Helpers:  Youth In Action with Ms. Morgan.


Badminton: Next week's schedule has now been posted around the school and on the ROMS Athletics webpage. Please look to see when your grade is scheduled to practice next week Matches are now being played to determine who will represent Royal Oak at the City Playoffs later this month.

Track and Field:
Students involved in Track and Field are reminded to return your permission forms to Mr. Menzies as soon as possible. The first track meet is only a few weeks away!
