Morning Radio News @ 9:05 am


Grade 8 Band:
  All grade 8 band students should report to the band room after they have checked in for attendance during homeroom.  Students will arrive back at approximately 3pm.

Science Challengers meet today at lunch recess in room 130.  If you can't attend, please see Mr Azim at first recess to collect an information package.

This Friday, we will be participating in "We are Silent" at Royal Oak. This is a day that we remain silent all day to give a voice to children who do not have a voice in the world. Some children are made to be child soldiers, or work in factories when they are as young as 4 years old. Bring a twoonie on Friday to get a name tag stating you are standing up for the rights of those who can not stand up for themselves. Youth In Action members will be outside on Friday morning with the name tags and to collect your twoonie. All money goes to Free the Children to help give rights to these children.

Drawing & Cartooning Group:  Meets today in Ms. Savage's Room 223 at lunch activity time.  Please bring your pencil case, coloured pencils, scissors, sharpies and glue.  Please let Ms. Savage or Ms. Spencer know if you are unable to come.

Dance Club:  Dance club meets on Friday at 116. Pare in your permission forms to ms. savage asap

Pizza Day tomorrow - $2.50 per slice

Canteen Thursday:  Cookies 75 cents, smoothies  50 cents, chicken nuggets $2.00

ROMS SPORTS


Track & Field:  Attention all students interested in participating on the track and field team this spring. Reminder, there is a practice after school today from 3:15 - 4:30 for all events. Please be there on time and bring your permission forms to give to Mr. Menzies.

Badminton:
  Reminder to all grade 6 badminton players. There is a practice today at SECOND recess in the gym. There is also a practice tomorrow morning before school. Please be there on time in full PE strip. Qualifying matches will be played today to determine who will represent Royal Oak at the city playoffs later this month so be sure to attend.

Intra Murals:  Notice to divisions 8-3, 4, 5 and 6 of their intra-mural dodge ball games Friday at lunch.

Field Hockey:  ROMS Field Hockey players are reminded of their practice today after school.  Remember to bring your shin pads and mouth guards as we will be scrimmaging.  All paper work will be handed out at practice.  First games are on April 21.

Parents & PAC Royal Oak Review @ noon:
 
The general PAC meeting is tonight, Thursday, at 7 pm in the Learning Commons. All parents are welcome to attend. PAC will be voting on an additional expenditure and taking nominations for exec for the fall. Come hear from administration about the calendar for the remainder of the school year.
