Morning Radio News @ 9:05 am

Drawing & Cartooning Group:  Meets today in Ms. Savage's Room 223 at lunch activity time.  Please bring your pencil case, coloured pencils, scissors, sharpies and glue.  Please let Ms. Savage or Ms. Spencer know if you are unable to come.

Science Challengers:  We have our weekly meeting today at lunch recess in room 130.  This is our last opportunity to work together before the first competition after spring break.

Grade 8 Baby Photos:
  A reminder to all Grade 8's,  baby photos must be in by tomorrow.  No late submissions will be accepted.

Pizza Day tomorrow - $2.50 per slice

Canteen today:  Cookies 75 cents, smoothies  50 cents, chicken nuggets $2.00


ROMS SPORTS

Congratulations to the Grade 8 Girls Competitive Volleyball Team for winning the City Championship on March 9th.
The girls had a perfect season, winning all 14 of their matches (including playoffs). 

Badminton:
  Attention anyone interested in playing badminton in April. There will be a very important meeting for all students who would like to part of the Royal Oak badminton program in the gym at morning recess. Please be there on time and be sure to remind your friends. That anyone interested in playing badminton this season, meeting in the gym @ morning recess. See you there!

Congratulations to the Grade 8 Girls Competitive Volleyball Team for winning the City Championship on March 9th.
The girls had a perfect season, winning all 14 of their matches (including playoffs).  The girls also won the PCS tournament with a perfect 6 set wins and 0 loss. A big thank you goes out to coach Jim Phillips for all the time he invested in the team this season. Also thank you to the score keepers who also went the distance staying until 7:30 last night.  What a great season Girls and now Grade 8 City Champs!  Go Eagles!!!

Band Sectionals:   All grade 6 trombonists have sectionals today during lunch activity in the band room.  There will be a choir rehearsal on Friday, March 11 during lunch activity in the band room.

Band Trip:  Grade 6 and grade 8 band students please return your permission slips to Mr Bridgman before Spring break.

All lost and found
items will be donated on Friday to a local charity.  Be sure to check for any missing items you may have lost in the last several weeks.

Art Projects:  Attention all students that took Art in Term 1 or 2. Any projects left in the art room will be on the table in the hallway near the Art room this week for pick up.

Gym Strip: Reminder that all gym strip needs to go home for washing over the spring break.
Lockers Clean Out:  Lockers need to be cleaned out before spring break as well.  There should not be any food or gym strip items left in your lockers over the break.

Course Selection Forms:  If you have not handed in your grade 9 selection form, it is now your responsibility to take your from into Claremont yourself.  

Yearbook: ROMS 2015/2016 Yearbook is now available for Pre-Order! Yearbooks are 128 pages of full colour awesomeness!! This year the book will contain over 2,000 photos from anything from athletics, to extra-curricular, to random moments caught on camera! Books are $35 and forms are available from Miss Cottier and on her homework website!  Grade 8's have until March 11th to email a baby photo!

Parents & PAC Royal Oak Review @ noon:
 

PAC only needs one more parent volunteer for the GRADE 6 spring immunizations. Immunizations are Thursday, April 21st. We need parents to assist from approximately 8:45 - 11:00. Please email romspacpresident@gmail.com to sign up to help with immunizations. We will confirm back to you via email.


Bottle Drive:  ROMS is having a Bottle Drive April 2nd Please drop off your recyclable Bottles/Cans to the school between 9am-1pm
