Choir:  There will be a choir rehearsal today during lunch activity in the band room.

Practices:  Teams practicing today are: Grade 6 girls ROMS 1 at lunch recess, and Grade 7 girls ROMS 1 and Grade 8 girls ROMS 2 after school. practice schedules for next week have been posted around the school and on the athletics website. Please have a look to confirm when your team will be practicing next week. There will be no practices on Monday February 8th due to the Family Day Long weekend.

Grade 8 Girls Volleyball:  Grade 8 girls ROMS1 won all 4 of their games on Wednesday vs Lansdowne and SMU.  This leaves the girls grade 8 volleyball team undefeated so far this year. Well done girls!
 
Monday:  A reminder to students and staff that Monday February 8th is a family holiday and school is not in session.

Early Dismissal:  A reminder to students and staff that Tuesday, February 9th is an Early Dismissal Day for Parent Teacher Interviews.

Bake Sale:  Wednesday Feb 10th Bake sale at Lunch hour for the Grade 8 farewell - Come and buy a treat and support this grade 8 fund raiser ! 

Yearbook: ROMS 2015/2016 Yearbook is now available for Pre-Order! Yearbooks are 128 pages of full colour awesomeness!! This year the book will contain over 2,000 photos from anything from athletics, to extra-curricular, to random moments caught on camera! Books are $35 and forms are available from Miss Cottier and on her homework website!  Grade 8's have until March 11th to email a baby photo!

Baked good to be sold can be dropped off by Grade 8 families to the canteen on Feb 10th morning.

PAC Meeting:  Parents should plan to attend the general PAC meeting this month on Monday, February 15th. Stu Rhodes will be speaking during a portion of the meeting on the opportunities available to students in the trades area. There will be some interesting information shared.
 
Bottle Depot Account:  The grade 8 farewell committee has setup an account at the Bottle Depot. Parents can drop off their recycling to any of the 3 Bottle Depot locations. YOU MUST REFERENCE our "Royal Oak PAC account" PRIOR to the start of them ringing up your recycling. There will also be a bottle drive at the beginning of April and all proceeds will go to benefit the grade 8 farewell. Thanks to all families for your support.
