Band Magazine Orders: All band magazine orders are due today.

Band: All grade 6 trombone players have sectionals on today during lunch activity period.

Drawing Group:  Meets today at in Ms. Savage's Room 223 at lunch activity time.  Please bring your pencil case, coloured pencils, scissors, sharpies, glue.  Please let Ms. Savage or Ms. Spencer know if you are unable to come. 

Canteen Today:  Cookies 75 cents, smoothies  50 cents, chicken nuggets $2.00

Youth In Action: Help us create sock bombs for the homeless in Victoria. Bring in new warm wool socks and things to stuff in them.  Donations can be dropped off to the office until tomorrow.

ROMS SPORTS

Grade 6/7 Intra-murals: The first semi final of the grade 6/7 intramural indoor soccer tournament will happen today during lunch recess. Teams who are scheduled to play are: The Thompsonators (6-2), The Golden Potatoes (M-3), A-Hoy-A (M-5). Players are reminded to be there by 1:20 ready to play. Let the playoffs begin!

Grade 8 Intra-murals: Wow! What a quality grade 8 soccer final. Congrats to both 8-7 and the Champions, 8-3, for a highly entertaining game. Special note to both goalies, Mikey and Gabby, and classy Kevin Sheridan for outstanding sportsmanship. See you all soon for intra-mural dodgeball.

Grade 8 Girls Volleyball: All grade 8 girls interested in volleyball are reminded of their practice Friday morning at 7:30 am. Please be there on time and ready to play!

Grade 7/8 Competitive Basketball:  The girls won their semi-final match last night and play in the city finals on Monday at Dunsmuir. Final practice is Friday after school at 3:15 to 4:30.

Awards:  Students can nominate themselves for awards in one or more of three areas, Leadership/Service, Fine Arts and Athletics. The form is on the ROMS website along with the requirements. The deadline for turning your form into your Homeroom Teacher is Monday, December 7.

Pizza Day tomorrow:  $2.50 per slice – Classes will be called in the following order: Winner of Item of the Day, Grade 8, Grade 6/7 Blue Floor, Grade 6/7 Green Floor – Helpers: Div 7-1 – Ms. Smyth

Parents & PAC Royal Oak Review @ noon:

Grade 8 Gear: The grade 8 hoodies and t-shirts are a big success and you have one more chance to order some gear. Paper order forms are being put up on the PAC bulletin board for grade gear. Parents or students may pick up a form and drop it with payment attached in the secure PAC drop box. You may also order hoodies online via the following link but this is only for credit card/PayPal payments. The online system is not for parents wishing to pay by cheque. The last day to place an order for hoodies or t-shirts is Wednesday, Dec 16th. Hoodies will be disributed to students in early January. Please note, the price of the grade 8 hoodie is $40 and t-shirts are $15.
