Awards:  Students can nominate themselves for awards in one or more of three areas, Leadership/Service, Fine Arts and Athletics. The form is on the ROMS website along with the requirements. The deadline for turning your form into your Homeroom Teacher is Monday, December 7.

Youth In Action: Help us create sock bombs for the homeless in Victoria. Bring in new warm wool socks and things to stuff in them. Things like shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush, chocolate, toques, note pads, pencils, etc. You could also include little gift cards to Subway or Timmy's or other places where folks could get a warm drink and some food.  Don't have time to buy anything?  Donations can be dropped off to the office until this Friday.

ROMS SPORTS

Grade 8 Intra-murals: Note to divisions 8-3 and 8-7 - the grade 8 intra-mural soccer championship belt is on the line today at lunch. Spectators welcome.

Grade 8 Girls Volleyball: Attention all grade 8 girls interested in volleyball. The next practice will be Friday morning at 7:30 am. All players must attend. That's grade 8 girls volleyball practice Friday Dec 4 7:30am.

Grade 8 Boys Basketball: Can all player on the grade 8 boys basketball team please return their full uniform to Mr. Menzies as soon as possible.

Grade 6/7 Intra-murals: Tomorrow the first semi final of the grade 6/7 intramurals will happen during lunch recess. Teams who are scheduled to play are: The Thompsonators (6-2), The Golden Potatoes (M-3), A-Hoy-A (M-5).

Athletic Leadership: There will be a brief meeting for all grade 8's in athletic leadership today at morning recess in the gym with Mr. Menzies. Please be there on time and remind other members to attend.

Band Magazine Orders: All band magazine orders are due tomorrow.

Band: All grade 6 trombone players have sectionals on tomorrow (Thursday) during lunch activity period.

Popcorn: On Wednesday December 9th,  Kernels popcorn will be for sale during the lunch hour. The price is $2.00 per bag and the flavours are regular salt and butter, caramel or white cheddar. 95 cents from each bag sold will go to the PAC to help with the purchase of supplies or to sponsor events for our students. See you on the 9th and don't forget your toonies!

Canteen Thursday:  Cookies 75 cents, smoothies  50 cents, chicken nuggets $2.00
