Just a reminder that there is no school November 11 – Remembrance Day or November 12 and 13 – Non-Instructional Days.

Food Drive: Thank you Royal Oak families, we brought in over 2,000 items for the Mustard Seed Food Bank. Special congratulations to both Mr. Stanchfield's class and Ms. Smyth's class who had 318 items each! Way to go Royal Oak.

Band: All grade 6 saxophone players have sectionals today during lunch activity period.

Home Room Teachers please distribute your poppies today.

Canteen Today:  Cookies 75 cents, smoothies  50 cents

Band: The ROMS band fundraising drive is on now.  Band students are selling tickets to the Hillside Mall Night of Lights shopping event, Poinsettias and magazine subscriptions.  Talk to a band student for more details.

Intra-Murals: Attention to divisions 8-7, 8-1, 8-3 and 8-6 - your quarter-final intra-mural soccer games will be on Wednesday, November 18th. 

Grade 7/8 Girls Basketball: Congratulations to the Grade 7/8 Girls Basketball team on their impressive victory over SMU yesterday.  Great team play.  Next game is HERE on November 16 against Lansdowne.  Run: Tuesday, November 10.

Craft Fair Poster contest: Be Creative:  Holiday theme  Prize: Lunch PIZZA party for winning Student’s                  Class  Winner: Announced Nov 28th  Entries: Placed in bin at ROMS office before Nov 20th 4pm deadline 

Key Info. needed for your winning Poster: Annual Holiday craft fair , Admission by donations, raffles, Silent auctions, Concession open, all Funds raised will support your school and student name and division number on back of poster.

Parents & PAC Royal Oak Review @ noon:

The ROMS craft fair is scheduled for Saturday, November 28th. It is always a fun event to be involved with and PAC is looking for volunteers. Please note the volunteer button on the ROMS front page or you can email Tracey Rompain at trompain@shaw.ca.

The next PAC general meeting will be at 7 pm on Wednesday, November 18th. Administration will discuss the new curriculum at the PAC meeting and answer any questions parents have. Please note that a FAQ document pertaining to the new curriculum is posted on the ROMS website. 

Grade 8 gear is ordered and expected to be delivered to students sometime before November 23rd.
