Band: All grade 6 trumpet students have sectionals today during lunch activity.
We Scare Hunger Food Drive: Bring in Non-perishable food items until next Friday, November 4th. As it is our 150th anniversary, let's see if each class can bring in 150 food items for those in need!
Ms. Fuller's PE Classes: Block 2 & 3 PE Classes please bring a pencil to class today for our quiz.
Drawing Group: Meets today at in Ms. Savage's Room 223 at lunch activity time. Please bring your pencil case, coloured pencils, scissors, sharpies, glue. Please let Ms. Savage or Ms. Spencer know if you are unable to come.
Canteen today: Cookies 75 cents, smoothies 50 cents, chicken strips $2.00
Intra-murals: There will be NO grade 6/7 intramural indoor soccer this week due to the halloween fundraiser event occupying the gym. Next weeks teams to play will be the Magical marvelous Minions (7-1), The Savages (M-2), and The Mighty Ducks (M-6).
Grade 6/7 Girls Rec Basketball: There will be a MANDATORY meeting for girls who want to play on the 6/7 rec basketball team today at first recess in Ms. Robson's room. If we don't have enough players, we wont have a team!
Grade 6/7 competitive boys basketball: There will be a brief meeting for all grade 6/7 competitive boys basketball players in the gym at morning recess today. Please be there on time and know how you are getting to today's game at PCS.

Pizza Day tomorrow: $2.50 per slice – Classes will be called in the following order: Winners of the past 2 weeks of Item of the week, 6/7 Green Floor, Grade 8, 6/7 Blue Floor
Grade 7/8 Girls Basketball: A combination of fast breaks, rebounds, skill and determination led to the grade 7/8 girls defeating John Stubbs yesterday by a score of 36 - 11. Excellent start to the season.
Choir: The choir meeting time has changed to Fridays during lunch activity. There will be a rehearsal on Friday, Oct. 30 during lunch activity, new members are welcome.
Athletics: ROMS students who are participating on sports teams are reminded to hand in your permission forms to your coaches or Mr. Menzies as soon as possible. Remember, you cannot participate in league games unless you have your forms in!
Tomorrow all students and staff are encouraged to wear their Halloween Costumes to school. Please avoid any weapons, masks and anything gory. At lunch activity time (1:16) we will have a costume walk with prizes for each grade and for staff. We will also have a staff pumpkin pie eating contest. Come and watch last year's winner, Ms. Savage, defend her title.
Family Fright Night: Don’t forget there will be lots of prizes for costumes and for the Ultimate Halloween Cupcake Contest. To enter the contest, just bake and decorate 6 – 12 cupcakes (No Nuts!!), label your entry with your name, grade & category, bring your cupcakes to the Home Ec. Room Thurs. Oct 29th morning or after school or bring them directly to the event that evening. All cupcakes must be received by 6:15 pm October 29th for judging.

A big thanks to Mike Brooks and his crew for putting on the very first ROMS Fright Night. There will be tickets available at the door tonight starting at 6 pm, Fright Night will finish at 9 pm. Registration and entrance is by the school main front doors. When you come to check in tonight, you will exchange your ticket for a wrist ban that must be worn during the night.
Please note that parking is going to be tight so please plan to carpool with friends and neighbours. You can park in the regular school parking lots, Saanich Community Church lot and on the back field enter via Greenlea. We will have parking attendants to help you.
A reminder that there will be lots of prizes for costumes and for the Cupcake Contest. If you would like to have your cupcakes judged, plan to drop them off today sometime or before 6:15 pm tonight. (No Nuts!!), label your entry with your name, grade & category.
