Band: There will be a jazz band rehearsal today during lunch activity.

Youth in Action: Meeting at First recess in Ms Morgan's room

Food Drive: It's time for our annual food drive. Bring in cans or non-perishable food items to your home room until the end of next week. The class with the most items will get a prize.

Extreme Team: Extreme Team is meeting at Mahon Creek at lunch recess.  All members please attend.

ROMS SPORTS

Intra-murals: Reminder to divisions 8-3, 8-4, 8-6 of their intra-mural soccer game today at lunch. No spectators today please because we only have half the gym.

Athletics: ROMS students who are participating on sports teams are reminded to hand in your permission forms to your coaches or Mr. Menzies as soon as possible. Remember, you cannot participate in league games unless you have your forms in!

Band: All grade 6 trumpet students have sectionals tomorrow during lunch activity.

Extreme Team: Extreme Team is meeting at Mahon Creek at lunch recess.  All members please attend.

On Friday, Oct 30, all students and staff are encouraged to wear their Halloween Costumes to school.  Please avoid any weapons, masks and anything gory.  At lunch activity time (1:16) we will have a costume walk with prizes for each grade and for staff.  We will also have a staff pumpkin pie eating contest.  Come and watch last year's winner, Ms. Savage, defend her title.  

Family Fright Night: Don’t forget there will be lots of prizes for costumes and for the Ultimate Halloween Cupcake Contest.  To enter the contest, just bake and decorate  6 – 12 cupcakes  (No Nuts!!), label your entry with your name, grade & category, bring your cupcakes to the Home Ec. Room Thurs. Oct 29th morning or after school or bring them directly to the event that evening.  All cupcakes must be received by 6:15 pm October 29th for judging. 

Parents & PAC Royal Oak Review @ noon:

A huge thank you to everyone who has purchased tickets and/or offered to volunteer for this Thursday’s Family Fright Night. For those still needing tickets, you can purchase them at the door starting at 6pm on October 29th.

Royal Oak will be conducting a lock down drill on November 26 at 10:00 am.  It is important to practice these types of situations to prepare our students so they are familiar with the expected procedures in case of an emergency.
