Community BBQ and Open House: Reminder that our Open House and recognition that Royal Oak turns 150 years old starts this afternoon at 4 pm. We will be serving hot dogs and other treats from 4 - 5:30 pm. Parents will have an opportunity to meet your teachers at 5:30 Due to limited quantities, only one serving per person. See you tonight!
Band: There will be a meeting for any students interested in joining jazz band today during lunch activity.
Open House: All student volunteers for tonight's Open House have a mandatory meeting today at 1:16 in the MPR.
Word of the Day: We are giving "the word of the day" to the student viewers on ROMS TV. Once you hear the word or phrase, send a student runner to the office with the answer along with your div number on a small piece of paper. The correct answer goes into a draw bucket. We will draw an entry on Friday - The winning class will be the first to go for Pizza on Friday. The more entries, the greater the chance.
Grade 8 intra-mural soccer start today. Divisions 8-1, 8-2 and 8-3 please meet in the gym, in gym strip at 1:20.

Band: All grade 6 trumpet players have sectionals on tomorrow during lunch activity.
Extreme Team: Extreme Team will be meeting today at Lunch Recess (1:16) in the Blue Seminar Room (Room 227). Any student in Grade 6, 7, or 8 who would like to join the Extreme Team is welcome to join us at today's meeting.
Community Days: Forms are due tomorrow. Students without a permission form will stay at the school and help clean recycle towers. The permission form is on the school website if you have misplaced yours.

Be sure to bring a picnic blanket to sit on. See you tonight!
PAC: Just a reminder that there will be some items for sale tonight during the Open House- grocery cards, grade 8 gear and Halloween tickets. Please bring cash or cheques if you are planning to purchase anything
Parking will be very tight tonight night. You can park on our back field.
Toonie for Terry: Tomorrow is the Terry Fox run here at Royal Oak! We are asking all students to bring in a toonie for the Canadian Cancer Foundation.
