Last meeting of Celtic dance this school year today at lunch.  Newcomers welcome.

The Leadership Crews Students are bringing the Survivor ROMS Challenge to you this week! We are raising money for the Nepal Earthquake Relief efforts, and are hosting a lunch time challenge of mini games on Wednesday and Thursday, with the finals happening on Friday! It's really easy to participate. Choose a team of 4, make a minimum donation of $5 per team, and come out for some fun and prizes! Your whole team of 4 needs to sign up for the challenge by coming to an important meeting (with your $5 donation) in Mr. Menzies room (downstairs in room 121) TODAY at lunch recess. There is only room for 20 teams to participate, so spaces will be given to the first 20 teams that arrive! Go ROMS!


There will be a jazz band rehearsal today during lunch activity.

Grade 6 band students please bring in your permission forms for the trip to Sidney on Friday as soon as possible.



ROMS SPORTS

Attention all Track and Field athletes. You have a mandatory meeting in the gym at lunch today. Track meet # 3 is today after school at UVIC at 4:00.

Canteen Tuesday: Cookies 75 cents, fruit smoothies – 50 cents, Hot Dogs for $1.50

Save your empty bottles and support the Royal Oak Middle School kids! When bringing bottles in to the Glanford Ave, Quadra St or Queens Ave Bottle Depots please tell the cashiers at the beginning of the transaction that you would like to donate the bottles to Royal Oak Middle School. At the end of every month the ROMS PAC will receive a cheque if the balance is over $50. Any money received by the end of this school year will go towards the Grade 8 Farewell Party.

Divisions 8-4, 8-5 and 9-7 will be using the multi-purpose room for a presentation on Friday May 29th in Block 2




Parents & PAC Royal Oak Review @ noon:

The Royal Oak PAC AGM is Wednesday, May 27th. A new PAC exec will be elected. Nominations are being taken via email or you may elect to run at the meeting next week. (Please email paula@shaw.ca for nominations) There are two positions for exec that are still open- Secretary and Co-Pacs Rep. Either position may be shared. At the AGM, there will be a speaker from Claremont PAC at the start of the meeting. Usual start time of 7 pm in the Learning Commons.
