Any grade 8's  interested in being a tour guide for the grade 5 tours, please come to an a important meeting in the MPR today at 1247.  Please bring your lunch.  

Congratulations to the grade 8 band students for their excellent performance and representation of our school at the Con Brio music festival in Whistler this weekend.

There will be a jazz band rehearsal today during lunch activity.

Please return band registration forms to Mr. Bridgman ASAP, they are due May 5. Band registration for next year is open to all students, please see Mr. Bridgman for more details.

Celtic dance club today at lunch activity time and each Monday until spring break.  Bring soft soled shoes.  Meet in the drama room.

ROMS SPORTS

Attention all badminton players who are attending the City Finals this week: you have a mandatory meeting today at lunch recess in the gym.  

Athletic Leadership students, please meet Miss Boyd in the PE office today at recess (11:23).

Soccer intra-murals start tomorrow. M-6 vs. 6-2 & M-2 vs. M-3. 

Attention grade 8's - the intra-mural ping pong championship is near. Look for the sign-up in the MPR this week.

Congratulations to the U13 Girls volleyball team who went to Vancouver to compete at Provincials, and came home with a BRONZE medal! 

Canteen Tuesday: Cookies 75 cents, fruit smoothies - 50 cents, homemade pizza - $2.50.

Parents & PAC Royal Oak Review @ noon:

The Royal Oak PAC is taking nominations for the 2015/2016 PAC executive. If you are interested in an exec position, please email the current PAC vice president, Paula Bernard, at paula@shaw.ca. Nominations are accepted now and in person at the AGM. The AGM is being held on Wednesday, May 27th at 7 pm. If you have questions regarding any of the PAC executive positions, please email any of the current exec members. (Email addresses can be found on the PAC page under the parent tab.)  PAC is a great way to get involved with the school. In addition to PAC executive, there are many events and activities to volunteer for. Specific volunteer opportunities to come.

We are looking for a coach for the girls rugby team ASAP. Please contact Ms. Robson this week if you are interested. Practices would be 1 day a week (flexible), and games would be on Wednesdays.
