There is an important rehearsal for all grade 7 band students today starting at 1pm.

All grade 6 saxophonists have sectionals tomorrow.

Science challengers, please attend today's meeting at lunch recess whether or not your questions have been prepared.  We will discuss a revision to our schedule.  See you there.

Tomorrow, Thursday,  is We Are Silent Day. This annual day at Royal Oak is when we give up our voice to bring awareness to kids throughout the world who have no voice. They can not go to school, they are made to be child labourers or grow up in poverty. Every one of them has a voice that needs to be heard. Take a silent stand so they can speak out. Money raised goes to Free the Children, an organization that helps give a voice to these kids. buy your $5 tickets today or tomorrow before school.

ROMS SPORTS

Attention Mountain bikers.  The new riding season starts Friday April 10th.  Get your bikes ready!  New members welcome, see Mr. Prescott.

Attention all grade 8 divisions - please get an intra-mural ball hockey team list to Mr. Stanchfield this week. 

Badminton games are today after school with PCS from 3:30-5:00. Please see posted names outside the gym for students participating.

Royal Oak Menchies Fundraiser-We will be offering Menchies yogurt for sale April 10th. There will be two flavours to choose from: chocolate and vanilla with two kinds of sprinkles included (rainbow or chocolate). An 8 ounce yogurt will cost $5.00. The yogurt will be sold on site at the same time as the pizza lunch. This will be a Royal Oak first so don't miss out! 

Self Nomination forms for Athletics, Leadership/Service and Fine Arts are due April 10. Forms are available on the ROMS website.

Canteen Thursday: chicken nuggets - $2.00, chocolate smoothies - 50 cents and cookies - 75 cents.

A reminder to all students interested in guitar club, that meetings are on Thursdays at lunch in Mr. Menzies room 122. Remember to bring your guitars tomorrow!

Reminder to Field Hockey players of our practice tomorrow after school.  3:15 - 4:30.  Please let Miss Fuller know if you CANNOT attend.

We are looking for a coach for the girls rugby team ASAP. Please contact Ms. Robson this week if you are interested. Practices would be 1 day a week (flexible), and games would be on Wednesdays.
