Good morning Royal Oak and welcome to day four of the Cool Aid Warm Clothing Drive. Yesterday, grade 8 leadership students collected clothing items from classrooms and were impressed to see the warm jackets, hats, winter shoes/boots pour in for another day. A great effort so far to filling the need for warm clothing around the Victoria community. After day 3, the Green Floor has roared back, closing the gap for number of warm clothing items donated. The current score is 158 items for the Green Floor, and an staggering 181 items for the Blue Floor. The competition is heating up and we still have 2 days to go. So talk to your friends and family members about this fundraiser, and let's continue to make a huge positive impact on our community Royal Oak!

Ms Savage's block 3 drama class will go to the following classrooms for drama today and Friday:
Div M-1 students in Mrs. Buxcey's class will go to the large gym and report to Mrs. Smyth.
Div. M-4 students in Ms. Robson's class will go to the art room and report to Ms. Robson.

All grade 6 trumpet playershave sectionals today during lunch activity period.

Any choir members who wish to audition for a soloplease see Mr. Bridgman in the band room during advisory period today.

New club – Water Colour Christmas Cards starts next Thursday after school 3:20 to 4:20, see Ms. Kardash for forms and information. Room 123. Only 12 spaces available, first come, first served.

Today is the last day for Hillside Mall Night of Lights ticket sales
, see Mr. Bridgman to purchase a ticket.

Poinsettia orders and November coffee orders are due on Monday.

An ALERT to ALL Extreme Team Members! Please report to repel the blackberry bushes today at lunch recess.

ROMS SPORTS

Winter clothing order forms can be found in front of the office and on the Athletics website. Orders are due by November 28th. Get your ROMS hoodies, PJ pants, onesies and athletic socks in time for the holidays.

There will be a volleyball skills clinic tomorrow at lunch with Mme. Espedido for all grade 6s! No experience required.

Intra-murals today:7-1 vs. 7-3 and 7-2 vs. 7-4

Grade 6 boys competitive team plays at home today at 3:45.

6/7 boys competitive team plays at Gordon Head at 3:45.

Any Grade 7 girls interested in playing volleyball this year, at either the 7/8 or 6/7 level, have a skills clinic/meet the coaches day on Sunday, November 23 from 9:30-11:00. Please see Mrs. Robson if you can not make it.

There is a very important meeting for the grade 6/7 boys basketball team in Ms.Blaikie's room at morning recess.

CRAFT FAIR organizer is now taking names for volunteers. We have 2-2.5 hour shifts between 9:00 am and 3:45 for Saturday, Dec 6th. We will have the volunteer sign up sheet at the PAC general meeting on Thursday night. Or you can email Tracey Rompain at trompain@shaw.ca. Grab a friend and volunteer before you shop!
