The climbing playground structure is once again closed due to another broken rope. We are waiting for replacement parts once again.

Food Drive: only 2 more days left to bring in your canned goods, let's see if we can help out the food banks and the community. Ms. Smythe's class is still in the lead with approximately 140 cans.

Parent Teacher interviews continue today. Today will be another adjusted bell schedule day with an early dismissal at 1:55.

Canteen Thursday: chicken nuggets - $2.00, chocolate smoothies – 50 cents and cookies – 75 cents.

Lost: Green hat with AUS on it. Please return to the office.

Grade 6 saxophonists have sectionals tomorrow.

ROMS SPORTS

The grade 7/8 girls basketball team has an important practice on Thursday morning at 8:00 am sharp. No practice Friday.

Reminder to divisions 8-3, 8-4, 8-6 and Multi 8 of their intramural soccer games at lunch today.

Reminder to the grade 8 boys recreational basketball team to hand in their permission forms to Mr. Stanchfield.

7/8 Girls competitive team has a game today at 3:45 at Arbutus.

8 Boys competitive team has a game today at 5:15 at Arbutus.

Athletic Leadership students, please check in with Ms. Robson this week regarding Thursday score keeping.

Parents & PAC Royal Oak Review @ noon:

Parent Teacher Interviews continue today from 2:30 - 5:30. If you were unable to make an appointment, please contact your child's teacher to make an alternative appointment.

Lost and Found - there is a large number of items in the lost and found.  If your student is missing their gym strip or other articles of clothing, please get them to check the lost and found.

Remembrance Day Ceremony. November 6th will be our annual ceremony to recognize our freedom and to honour our veterans. All parents are invited to come and participate with us. The assembly will be occur at 11 am.

The Parking Lot continues to be a congestion zone. Please consider making use of Greenlea Drive as well as dropping off and picking your child up a few blocks away from the school.

Tonight is the 2014 Saanich Municipal and School District Election All Candidates Meeting here at Royal Oak at 7 pm . This event is sponsored by the Royal Oak Community Association.

Halloween – Friday is the day when we allow students to wear costumes but with expectations. Costumes should not interfere with students learning. There should be no masks, no weapons, and no blood or gore costumes. We will have having a special pop band performance in block 4 for the students.
