Are you a Grade 7 student who is interested in being a part of the Athletic Leadership program next year? The application form can now be found on the ROMS Athletics website. Forms due to Ms. Robson by July 15th.
Attention Grade 7's or U-13 Boys Basketball Players: The Summer Games is hosting a 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament in Nanaimo this year July 17-20th. The tryouts are held at Cedar Secondary Gym Saturday June 7, 1-4pm and Sunday June 8, 9-12pm. Athletes can check out the Basketball BC Website for more info and to register. www.basketball.bc.ca
Blue Box Recycling. You will notice blue boxes by every exit door. These boxes are for refundable juice, water and pop containers. They are not for garbage and we expect everyone will honour that. Thank you for helping reduce our garbage here at Royal Oak.
Gr 8's. For those who have not purchased your Farewell Ticket, you still need to do this. T Shirts are no longer available to order. Tickets are now $12 which do not include a T shirt. Orders come to the office.
Student Recognition:Reminder to students to get your self recognition form filled out and signed by the sponsor teachers. These forms are to be handed into your homeroom teacher.

Student Recognition- student self nomination forms are due today. This is particularly important to Gr 8 students to determine the year end awards.
We need parent volunteers desperately for the Grade 8 Farewell. We are still looking for volunteers for Monday am. food prep., Dance evening: front door check in/out 7:15-9:15pm, food servers 5:45-7:30 and 7:30-9pm, game/activity attendants 5:45-7:30 and 7:30-9pm, and yes...clean up 9pm-10:30pm, please email Cathy Sangha at email@example.com. If parents can help with chaperoning (shifts 6pm -7:30pm or 7:30pm to 9pm) or clean-up, to please contact Brenda at firstname.lastname@example.org. As this is a PAC sponsored and parent volunteer based event, this event for our Grade 8 students cannot happen if we do not have enough parent volunteers and chaperones.
