This morning we have 80 Grade 5's students from Prospect Lake and out of catchment schools touring Royal Oak. Please give them a friendly welcome as you see them in our school.

Gr 8 students. Today is our final visit to Claremont to see the Play "42nd Street" Students will eat at the end of block 3 class and board the bus at 12 noon. Teachers need to verify who is walking home from Claremont so that we know who is returning.

All track and field athletes must check in with Ms. Robson before Thursday morning practice if planning to attend Meet # 1 on Monday, May 12th.

Today is the last work day for Mr. Johnson here at Royal Oak. Mr. Johnson has worked 33 years in the Saanich School District with 14 of those years here at Royal Oak. We wish him the very best in his retirement.

There is a short meeting in the Blue Seminar Room for all Extreme Team Members at the start of Lunch Recess today. See you there.

Sports:

  • High jump practice today at lunch recess with Mr. Mollard

  • Grade 6/7 boys' rugby jamboree takes place tomorrow at SMUS from 9:00-3:00.

  • Girls' rugby jamboree takes place tomorrow at Velox from 12:30-5:00.

  • All track and field athletes must check in with Ms. Robson by Thursday if planning on attending Meet # 1 on Monday, May 12th.


Parents:

Compost Soil Sales are still on! Get your soil today which helps to send a Gr 8 student to their leadership seminar. The soil is $10 per bag or 3 bags for $25.

 

Students in Mr. Menzies or Mr. Bergerons' Leadership class have their Leadership Conference this Wednesday at Uvic. Please ensure your child has returned the permission form and payment.

 

Lost and Found. The number of clothing items is growing in the lost and found. If your child has lost a clothing item, please check L & F.
