February is Random Acts of Kindness Month - do something nice for no reason at all!


Morning Announcements:

It's National Pink Day where we focus on being kind.  Come to the front of the school at recess for our annual Pink Day Photo - all students and staff are invited to participate. SMILE PINK!

Gr 8's field trip permission forms to Claremont have to be in today.

Pink Day - any student wearing Pink shoes, pink socks, pink pants, pink shirts, pink in the hair, pink coat and a pink binder you win a prize! See Mr Bergeron to claim your prize.

Sports:
Congratulations
to the grade 7 girls, competitive volleyball team on a great season. They won 5 out of 6 games yesterday at Gordon Head Middle School to finish their season on a high note. They will surely be strong team to compete against next year as grade 8's. Well done girls!

Attention all grade 8 boys rugby players - our first practice of the year will be this Friday after school. We will also practice next Tuesday and Wednesday. Please have cleats and a mouth-guard. See Mr. Stanchfield if you have any questions.

Grade 8 Students -Grade 8's. Reminder of your field trip on Thursday to Claremont.   Permission forms should have been handed into your Hm rm teacher as of yesterday.

Do you have any new or gently used handbags, purses, jewelery, or scarves that you no longer want? Well, Handbags for Hope is looking for these items for a fund-raising event that supports cancer research. Please drop off any donations to the bins next to the office.

Grade 8 Parents - reminder of an important parent information night at Claremont tonight from 7 to 8pm in the Ridge Theatre. Students are welcome.

If you are a grade 8 parent, please ensure your child has returned the Field Trip Permission form to the Homeroom teacher.  We go to Claremont tomorrow.  Forms can be downloaded off the School Wed page.

Do you have any Lego you are not using? If so, please drop it off at the front office.  We will make excellent use of it at ROMS.
