Remembrance Day Ceremony in the Gym. Doors open at 10:40am.

Today we celebrate Remembrance Day and remember the members of the armed forces who have died in the line of duty.

We will have an adjusted schedule today and then assemble after recess for the Remembrance Day Ceremony. The gym will be out of bounds today in preparation for the ceremony.

Here are the Block order changes today
--First we will have Block 1.
--Then an early recess break.
--After recess all students  return to home room class where you will prepare to come to the Remembrance Day assembly.
--Poppies will be given out in Block 2
--A runner will come to get each class for the assembly.
The expectations of the assembly were made known to all classes yesterday which we expect will be followed.  We look forward to a very respectful and meaningful assembly.

During first block there will be a dress rehearsal in the gym. Please excuse any Cadet, Choir, and Grade 8 Band member involved in the ceremony to go to the gym in Block 1.

Friday - is a Professional Development Day for the staff  so there will not be school in session.

Sports:

  • Grade 6/7 Boys competitive team has a home game today at 3:45. Come cheer them on!

  • Reminder to the grade 8 boys recreational basketball team of their practice today at lunch.  Note - if it is a school-wide inside day, practice will be cancelled.

  • There will be a meeting for all swim club members today at lunch recess in the gym.

Today is the last day to sign up for the basketball camp taking place at ROMS tomorrow. Please see Ms. Robson for more details and to sign-up.

The Lost & Found is overflowing! Come down to the lost & found area and pick-up your clothing. All items will be sent to a charity at the end of this week.

Parents:

Remembrance Day ceremony. All parents and family are invited to the school assembly this Thursday at 10:15

Thank you to all who have sent in food items for the earthquake preparedness program.

Parking Lot: Reminder our parking lot is very crowded at the end of the day.  Picking up your child on Greenlea is a much better option and helps reduce the congestion.

We are giving away the
Lost & Found items to a Charity on Friday. Please ask your child to take home their clothing before Friday.
