Rowing - Congratulations to our Grade 8 Rowing Teams with the regatta on the weekend.  Great efforts were put in by all rowing team members.  The Co-ed Quad achieved 2 place and the Boys quad placed first in the City finals.  Well done teams!  A special thanks to Ms C Robson and Ms Ryan for their sponsorship of the rowing teams.

Remembrance Day Assembly: Thursday block 2 is our Remembrance Day assembly.   We will be giving each of you a Poppy and ask you to make a donation to the Poppy Fund.  Please remember to bring in your donation on Thursday.

Friday - reminder Friday is a Professional Development Day for the staff  so there will not be school in session.


--Grade 7/8 Boys competitive team has a home game today against Bayside at 3:45.
--Grade 7/8 Boys rec team has a game today at Lansdowne at 3:45.
--Grade 6/7 Girls competitive team has a game Tuesday, November 5th at Central at 3:45.

--There is a very important meeting for the grade 7/8 girls rec basketball players in Miss Cottier's room # 124 at recess activity.  All players must attend.
--Attention grade
8 boys recreational basketball team - there will be a quick meeting in Mr. Stanchfield's room at recess today (Monday) to discuss today's jamboree. Don't miss it.

--Basketball Camp on Nov 8th Pro D: Attention all basketball players. There will be a basketball camp taking place at ROMS on Friday, November 8th (Pro-D day). All ages and abilities welcome. Boys camp runs from 9:00-11:30. Girls camp runs from 12:00-2:30. Cost is $25. Please see Ms. Robson to sign up.


There will be a mandatory choir rehearsal today (Monday November 4th) and tomorrow (Tuesday November 5th) during lunch activity time (1:16) to continue preparation for the remembrance day ceremony. Due to the extra choir rehearsal the Jazz band rehearsal has been canceled. 

Chess is starting! Every Thursday at lunch recess, all students interested in playing chess are invited to Mr. Azim's room room 122. No experience necessary.

Milk for sale in the canteen during recess. Cost is $1 for chocolate or white. Get your Milk today!

3)  Thank you to all the parents who have sent in food items for the Earthquake container.  The supply is building  - if you have not already sent in your designated item, please do so as we want to move the products out to the container.

Help us raise money for Victoria Hospice and support our PE Dept. Head Angus Stewart and his wife Margaret as she battles cancer. Attend a benefit concert with James Gordon on Sunday, Nov 10 at St. Michael Anglican Church Hall at 4733 W. Saanich or please consider donating money to the hospice in Margaret's name.
