--6/7 boy basketball team fought hard against PCS to close a 14 point gap to finish the game with a tight score of PCS 35 ROMS 31.  
7/8 girls rec basketball practice today at lunch.
6/7 girls and boys rec players have a game after school today from 3:15-4:00.
--Grade 7/8 Boys Competitive team has a make up game against Bayside scheduled for Monday, November 4th at 3:45 at ROMS.
Reminder to the grade 8 boys recreational basketball team of their meeting in Mr. Stanchfield's room at recess today. Please bring your permission forms. 

Rowing team, please meet Ms. Robson in front of the office today at 11:23 recess.

--Basketball Camp on Nov 8th Pro D: Attention all basketball players. There will be a basketball camp taking place at ROMS on Friday, November 8th (Pro-D day). All ages and abilities welcome. Boys camp runs from 9:00-11:30. Girls camp runs from 12:00-2:30. Cost is $25. Please see Ms. Robson to sign up.

Grade 6 Sectionals are today during lunch activity.

Halloween for Hunger –Today is the last day to bring in your non-perishable food items. We only have 400 pieces so far! Come on Royal Oak – Let's help feed the hungry!

Help us raise money for Victoria Hospice and support our PE Dept. Head Angus Stewart and his wife Margaret as she battles cancer. Attend a benefit concert with James Gordon on Sunday, Nov 10 at St. Michael Anglican Church Hall at 4733 W. Saanich or please consider donating money to the hospice in Margaret's name. Compost Education Centre’s 10th annual Pumpkin Smash!
Give your jack-o-lantern a proper burial! Join the Greater Victoria Compost Education Centre for post Halloween family fun and games, November 2nd and 3rd. Smash your pumpkins in our giant compost bin instead of sending them to the landfill! Intact edible pumpkins will be donated to local food banks. Saturday
