Thursday is Halloween at Royal Oak, students are allowed to wear a costume and participate in the parade of costumes at recess in the gym. Prizes for the most creative costumes for each of the grade level. There will also be the annual teacher pie eating contest at lunch so come cheer on the teachers in the gym at lunch. Reminder to keep all costumes appropriate as discussed in classes last week.

Give your jack-o-lantern a proper burial! Join the Greater Victoria Compost Education Centre for post Halloween family fun and games, November 2nd and 3rd. Smash your pumpkins in our giant compost bin instead of sending them to the landfill! Intact edible pumpkins will be donated to local food banks.
