1). Halloween is this Thursday.  Students can wear costumes and there will be the annual parade of costumes at recess for prizes.  Reminder to keep costumes appropriate for school.

Earthquake food Supplies - please keep bringing in your assigned items to the office.

3). Today there is an
assembly for all classes at 9:30. Classes will be called once we are ready to load the gym. The assembly will be The Matt Velvet and Charlie show.

Drop Everything and Read is today in celebration of National School Library Day.  The challenge is for everyone in the school to take a break and read for enjoyment for 20 minutes between 11:00 and 11:20. Students, please bring a book to your PE or FAAS class during block 2. We are fortunate to have a wide range of books in our school and to have opportunities to read.  Visit the Learning Commons to make sure you have a great book to read for this event.

--7/8 girls competitive basketball team has a game today at SMU at 3:45.
--7/8 boys competitive basketball team has a game today at Bayside at 3:45
7/8 boys rec basketball practice today at lunch.
-- Athletic leadership students have a meeting today at lunch recess

--The grade 7/8 girls rec basketball team has an important meeting in Ms. Cottier's room on Wednesday, Oct. 30 at lunch recess. If you are still interested in signing up, please see Ms. Cottier.

Parent Meeting for students going to France and Italy 2015-will be held this Wednesday at 7pm in room 220 for any grade 7's and their parents who are interested in traveling during the 2015 Spring Break.  Please see Mme Espedido if you have any questions.

You’re invited to the Compost Education Centre’s 10th annual Pumpkin Smash!
Give your jack-o-lantern a proper burial! Join the Greater Victoria Compost Education Centre for post Halloween family fun and games, November 2nd and 3rd. Smash your pumpkins in our giant compost bin instead of sending them to the landfill! Intact edible pumpkins will be donated to local food banks.
