Today's Earth Week challenge is: Power Down Day. Try to go through the day without using anything that requires power.
Tomorrow we have a fun opportunity to warm-up in the class to the Harlem Shake played over the PA during advisory.
Thursday: Sustainable Transportation Day. Try to take a bus, car pool, ride your bike, or walk to school.
Friday: Sweater and Toque Day. The temperature in the school will be lower on Friday until around 10am. Come to school prepared and dress warm.

Sports News:

Royal Oak did very well in the gr. 6 city badminton championships last night. Congratulations!

Would all grade 6 players please return their badminton uniforms to Mr. Stewart today in the gym office.

There is a very important meeting at recess
today in the gym for all grade 6, 7, 8 students who wish to enter a throwing event for Track & Field this year. See Mr. Stewart if you cannot attend.

The grade 7-8 Eagles rugby team
has a practice after school today. See Mr. Stanchfield if you have any questions.

There is a
High Jump practice today from 3:08 to 4:00 in the Multi-Purpose Room.

Reminder to all
field hockey players that we do NOT have practice today. We have an important meeting today at 11:23 Recess in Miss Fuller's room (222) to organize our rides for our workshop on Wednesday and games at Uvic on Thursday!!! 

Long Distance Runners for the Track & Field team have a practice on Wednesday.

Grades 7 and 8 baseball players please meet right after school today in the front foyer for our first game at Hyacinth.  New players are welcome to join and play today.

Wednesday - Grade 6 Clarinet and Saxophone Sectional during advisory time (12:47) 

All Musical Theatre members please come to the MPR room at advisory (12:47) on Wednesday.


Good Luck and Have Fun! to the Grade 8 Band as they depart Thursday morning to Whistler for a performance at the Con Brio Festival.
