Monday, April 15 is a Pro.D day – no students in attendance.

Today is our Mini X day.  We have altered times with an extra 5th block today. 

There will only be 2 bells today 1)  To end recess 10:55    2) to end lunch 1:25. The times to end classes have been given out to all staff for all to follow with the expectation that everyone ahere to the times.


It will be up to all staff and students  to keep a watch on the altered time schedule for today. Thanks Royal Oak, it is going to be a great day!! 

 

The mini-X group going Hiking - please meet in room 122 after USSR.

Sports:

 

Grade 7 and 8 Boys Hardball Practice on Tuesday afterschool on the Royal Oak field from 3:15 to 4:15.  Please make sure you bring your glove. Three games will be played between the Grade 7 Boys and Grade 8 Boys at Layritz.  Game times are going to be announced soon.


Badminton Intramurals,
Singles today. Please dress in gym strip, games start at 1:16.  If you did not sign up to play last week see Mr. Stewart today.

Badminton drop in is from 8 to 9am Monday, Wednesday and Friday.(until April 26)

Rugby: Well done to the gr. 7-8 Eagles rugby team for a quality performance at Claremont and Journey. Next practice is Tuesday afterschool.

Congratulations to the G
irls Field Hockey team on their impressive start to the season.  Great games against Glanford, St. Michaels, and Arbutus.  Next practice is on Tuesday, April 16 at 3:15.  Special thanks to Ms. Cottier and Ms. Little!

Mountain Bikers, If you want to ride today, please remember to sign up as soon as possible in Mr. Prescott's room.  Remember to indicate how you'll be getting out  to Hartland and how you're getting back.  If you haven't joined the Dump Jumpers and you want to join, then please see Mr. Prescott during one of the breaks.

Today is Pizza Day! $2.50 per slice.

Real Soil for Sale:  The Leadership and Athletic Leadership Students are selling our composted soil as a fund raiser to their leadership conference.  Bags of soil can be purchased for $10.  This is a result of all our composted  food waste coming back to us in the form of soil.  It completes the recycling circle. 

 

Victoria Teen Expo – April 27th at Pearkes Rec. Centre!!! This one day exhibition, for youth ages 12 to 18 years, and their families, will give teens and tweens on Vancouver Island the opportunity to connect with each other, their peers, their communities and community leaders.
