The grade 7/8 Competitive girlsA Team plays an AWAY game at Arbutus and the 7/8 girls B team plays an AWAY game at Bayside.

The grade 7/8 recreational girls volleyball team has an important meeting in Mr. Say's room (#232) today at lunch recess (1:16). Please arrive on time.
There is a Gr. 7/8 Boys Competitive Volleyball Team practice today after school from 3:15 - 4:45pm.
There will be a very short (5 minute) Math Challengers meeting today at 1:20 in Mrs. Robson's room. (Room 131)
Popcorn will be sold at the canteen at 11:23 recess today. $1.00 a bag. Proceeds go to “Free the Children”.
Smoothies are on sale today at the canteen during morning recess.
Breakfast club is cancelled Thursday morning and will resume next week.

We are collecting gently used handbags or purses for 'Handbags for Hope'. This is an event that supports childhood cancer research and the BC Children's hospital. So, Royal Oak, help another child and donate purses you no longer use. Put them in the bin outside the office by Feb. 14 – Valentine's Day!
The Penny Drive has started! Bring in your pennies to help build a school in Haiti. Each homeroom has a penny bag – let's try to fill them up!
Reminder to students that we are no longer using the South hallway exit doors. The only time we can use these doors is at the end of the school day.

1) Sign-up opens today for Parent Teacher (P/T) Interviews on Wenesday, February 6th. If the teacher isn't listed, please contact them directly by email.
2) Grade 7 Students are starting their writing of the FSA tests today. This will be on going for the next 3 weeks.
3) The Royal Oak Open House is on Feb 7. Please let all the people that might be interested in joining Royal Oak about this information evening.
4) Do you have any purses or handbags hanging about that you don't use anymore? If so, please consider donating them to the "Handbags for Hope" which supports childhood cancer research and the BC Children's hospital. A donation bin is outside the office, donations accepted until Feb 14th.
